MIDDLETOWN CVB ELECTS 2005 OFFICERS

Members of the Middletown Convention and Visitors Bureau met for the first time in 2005 and elected officers to serve in the coming year.

Elected were:

President – Dave Pearce, Bank One NA

Vice-President – Dick Boyea, Ramada Inn

Secretary – Norma Lambert, Community Volunteer

Treasurer – Dana Picard, Nenni & Co CPAs

City Council members David Schiavone and Nancy Nix will serve as liaison between City Council and the CVB board.

Other members of the CVB board are: Sam Ashworth, John Dickerson, J. Knight Goodman, Gary Lebo, John Ridge, Frances Sack, Scott Stacey and Curt Tucker. City staff liaison assigned to the CVB is Maria Langendorf. Executive Director is Ann Mort.

The CVB promotes Middletown to potential guests, new residents and businesses. During 2004, it launched a marketing campaign to promote the Middletown Exhibit Center which resulted in several events in downtown Middletown. Upcoming events at the Exhibit Center include two more gun shows, a large tag sale, library book sale, two Texas Hold Em Tournaments and other events.

Also during 2004, the CVB arranged for a moving billboard –signage on the side of a semi-trailer which promotes the CVB website www.visitMiddletown.org as it travels the interstate highways.

Probably the most popular service provided by the CVB is the Middletown Community Calendar available on the www.visitMiddletown.org website.  The calendar listings are also emailed each month to interested parties who request the service by emailing info@visitMiddletown.org.

For more information call 513-422-3030 or email to info@visitMiddletown.org.
