The Board of Education met in a special session this morning to vote Lisa Fahncke, as the new Middletown School District Treasurer, contingent upon her signing the contract.
The board said they were impressed with Fahncke’s integrity and honesty. She brings 21 years of experience to Middletown for which she will be paid an annual salary of $82,000.
Superintendent Steve Price said Fahnche has studied Middletown Schools and is aware of the financial challenges.
She has spent the last five years as the Treasurer of the Riverside Local Schools. Prior to her position with Riverside Schools she was an auditor for the state.
Fahncke earned a Bachelor Degree from Wright State University and Post Graduate work at The Ohio State University and the University of Dayton.
Her first day in Middletown is scheduled for March 9.
