LOCAL RESTAURANTS OFFER $5 SPECIALS ON THE 5TH OF THE MONTH

Thirteen Middletown restaurants will be offering $5 specials on the fifth of August, September and October as a part of the Middletown Pride in Action campaign to spur the local economy and pride in the community.

Participating restaurants are:

Brownies Café             55 S Broad St

China Garden            616 N University Blvd

Dad’s Family Restaurant    3131 S Main St

56 Degrees            1045 Central Ave

Gold Star Chili            3214 S Main St

Java Johnny’s            3534 Central Ave

Each business has chosen a menu item to offer at a discount this one day per month.  The Pride in Middletown committee encourages everyone to visit their favorite restaurant and help support the business and the community.

Edith Kohler, chairperson of the project has compiled the list of 13 locally controlled restaurants from the total  of 88 Middletown restaurants.  It is hoped this experiment will expand and include chain restaurants in the future.

For more information about this project email 5onthefifth@gmail.com.  For other Middletown Pride in Action projects, email RMort@cinci.rr.com or call 513-649-4506.
