Camera Security Now Surveillance Video Central on National TV News Story

What started out as a local story featuring Camera Security Now video footage, has turned into a national TV news and internet news stories.

Police VideoThe headline story " Tased Grandma Heading to Court" was reported by the local newspaper. The video was caught digitally by a security camera system sold in 2002 by Camera Security Now, 6730 Roosevelt Ave, Franklin, Ohio. (Middletown city limits)

The security camera system was also installed and is currently being maintained by Camera Security Now, a nationwide surveillance camera service.

The camera used was a low cost black and white, 3.7mm
bullet security camera. For more information on Security Cameras, including the Bullet Camera, visit security camera website pages located here:

Local to National in 1 Day

On December 7, 2005, local TV News from Channels 3,9 and 2 in Cincinnati, Ohio played the surveillance video clip of Lt. Wayne Bowling tasering a 68-year-old resident who was resisting arrest. Nationally, Fox News was ran the story on December 8, 2005.

The video being circulated on the internet is only a fraction of the video that the police station was recording that night. Their security camera system can be connected to 16 cameras totals per server. The server was a GeoVision GV-800 with 120 Frames Per Second Recording speed.

Surveillance VideoCameras are typically located in interview rooms, jail cells, lobby (seen here), parking lot and all entrances/exits. The Franklin police department, most likely, will have plenty of evidence beyond the few seconds of video seen on the net.

CCTV Digital Video Recording (CCTV DVR) systems are being deployed in police stations nationwide.

In many cases, GeoVision DVRs are replacing existing CCTV VHS tape based sytems, which require daily user intervention and manual tape rotation. Cameras and wiring is generally re-usable which keeps the upgrade cost minimal.
