Stop by and meet Scott Fowler, author of the new book “LeSourdsville Lake”. Scott is a former employee of the famous Monroe landmark and is also the co-founder of the Southwest Ohio Amusement Park Historical Society. He has amassed a huge collection of park memorabilia dating back to its beginning in the 1920’s to closing in 2003. His new book is a pictorial look back at the glorious days of “The Lake”, later known as Americana.
He will be signing his new book at the Monroe Historical Society Museum at 10 E. Elm St in downtown Monroe on Saturday, July 16 from 10am – 2pm. Both the museum and the 1910 General Store next door at Main & E. Elm will be open with free admission. Books will be available for sale.
This is not the first time Scott Folwer has appeared at the Historical Society.
On October 29, 2009, Scott Fowler provided a memorable trip back in time to youth spent at LeSourdsville Lake / Americana Amusement Park. The Monroe Historical Society has a page on this: http://www.monroeoh-historicalsociety.org/lesourdsvillelakeprogram.html.
Last year the book debuted at Traders World.
