March 8th, five downtown churches will begin their 35th annual series of Noontime Lenten worship and lunch. Bethlehem Lutheran, St. Paul United Church of Christ, Holy Family Parish, First United Methodist and the new Faith United Church have invited the downtown working community to share in ecumenical celebration and then have lunch. The worship begins at 12:05 PM and concludes at 12:30. The worshippers then gather for lunch, prepared by the host congregation.
Worshippers bring items for CHOICE Pantry (a different item each week) and an offering is donated for MALACHI during the worship. A free will donation is made during the lunch for the meal.
March 8th, Father Bill Krumm of Holy Family Parish will preach at First United Methodist Church, 120 South Broad Street, Middletown. The item being collected for CHOICE is toothpaste.
