JAVA JOHNNY’S MIDTOWNE CAFÉ OPENS HIGH TECH MEETING SPACE

A new 50 seat capacity Hi-tech equipped meeting room is now open—just in time for guests to use the big screen TV and multiple 40” LED screens to follow the 2009 baseball games.

The new space became available adjacent to the 4-year old Java Johnny’s coffee shop and owner John Ridge took the opportunity to add a more quiet space for meetings and other activities.  The new space is carpeted with a warm, comfortable feeling including flexible arrangement of soft seating with subdued lighting.

He envisions the room, dubbed The Media Gallery,  being used for scheduled special activities such as live music, movie night, electronic game nights using Wii Sports and Guitar Hero, private events, club meetings, showers or birthday parties catered by Java Johnny’s.  When not scheduled for a private event, the room will be available for drop-in meetings shielded from the usual noise of a coffee shop. Individual FM receivers will allow those using the room to listen to the audio from a particular TV on their own earphones without disturbing others.  Loaner FM receivers are available at the counter for those without units of their own.  A full range of media for special events is installed and available. Access to the meeting room will be from both inside Java Johnny’s and a separate outside entrance.

With a background in technology beginning in childhood, Ridge became co-owner of the Infinet internet system which was sold at the peak of the .com era in 1999.  He then continued developing software and started Netseats, an electronic ticketing system, with clients such as the Film Society at Lincoln Center and Jacob Burns Film Center in New York City.  Local clients include the Shakespeare Festival in Cincinnati and several Middletown groups.

Always with an eye to the future, he opened the Java Johnny’s Midtowne Café and continued its sister business, The Jug, as elements he sees in all successful communities. The Jug serving its famous hamburgers continues a historical tradition.  Java Johnny’s stays on the cutting edge of the new developments with its unique top quality products and service at affordable prices and free WiFi access.

Java Johnny’s serves special blend coffees, made-from-scratch soups and desserts as well as deli fresh sandwiches and other specialties.  It also has the only coffee roaster in Middletown, offering fresh blends for the café and ground or unground bagged coffee. Delivery is available of box lunches, dessert and sandwich trays.

For more information or to schedule use of the Media Gallery for a private meeting or event, call Java Johnny’s manager Tonya Langford at 513-727-9722.

Congratulations John Ridge on your expansion.

Although it was sad to see Capozzi's go.

a very cool addition to an already popular gathering spot. From the coffee/breakfast crowd in the morning to the afternoon lunch/dessert patrons. The new meeting room/activity facility is top shelf state of the art technology in a very comfortable user-friendly setting. Tremendous potential for many different types of activities. Java Johnny's is a true gem in the center of our city, and coupled with the re-opening of a better than ever Jug restaurant, the owner has a pair of much-appreciated winners!
