Entertainment Unlimited at Springhill Church Middletown
Wednesday, February 27, 2008 12:19:20 PM - Middletown Ohio
by Frances Sack

Xi Lambda Pi of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority on April 5 presents Entertainment Unlimited at the Springhill Church of Christ on Brell Drive. Gail Clarey and Frances Sack will serve as co-chairs.

The event will start at 11 am with opportunity to bid on the silent auction baskets followed at noon with a Ribbon Luncheon. Lunch will include tossed salad, poppy seed dressing, chicken salad, homemade yeast rolls, served with assorted desserts and includes beverage. Local entertainment will be the focus of your enjoyment after lunch. Middletown Area Neediest Youth will be the recipient of all proceeds from the event minus expenses.  There will be more than 10 Baskets with donations from local merchants that will be raffled during the event for 1 for $1; 6 for $5; and arm length for $10. Cost to attend the event is $20.00 and is open to the public.

MANY is a 37-year-old local non-profit organization that raises funds for area schoolchildren to provide clothing and accessories to help maintain their dignity. All funds raised go to support the mission and has grown over the years from $1,000 to $30,000 per year budget. There are no paid employees and everyone who is involved in the organization is a volunteer. Ms. Debbie Swope is current president of MANY.

This year’s committee chairs who will assist in planning and execution of the event include: Tammi Thompson, invitation, fliers and programs; Adriane Scherrer and Cissi Glickfield, entertainment; Mary Margerum, basket raffle; Gail Clarey and Becky Hedge-Kamp, food; Doris Heidenreich, tickets; Rita Woodlan-Holevar, decorations and set up; and Frances Sack, publicity.

If you would like to purchase a ticket for the event or if you would like to support the project and are unable to attend, you may contact any Xi Lambda Pi member or call Gail Clarey 425-6805 or Frances Sack 424-0466, for additional information.
