Mayor David Schiavone presents Gene Leiter, Pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Jim Wendle awards and recognition 'as people in the community that go above and beyond the call of duty and volunteer to do things to make the quality of life in our city a little better. And help make Middletown a better place to live.' Said Middletown City Mayor, David Schiavone.
"Thank you for this honor, I am deeply appreciative of this recognition. It’s been a pleasure to work in your midst for the past 16 years." said Reverend Gene Leiter of the award.Jim Wendle came to us with a great idea about bringing people downtown. Close to 2000 people came to the downtown ‘Broad Street Bash.’
“One man can’t do it all, I want to thank my family for all the support they have given me, I want to thank the sponsors, and my team. Union Savings Bank gave me the seed money, Middletown Journal gave me the advertising, Road Apple Music helped me with the entertainment, Middletown Board of Realtors helped with the beer sales, Tim Lewis was very instrumental, thank you very much. I can’t wait till next year.” Said Jim Wendle.
