Clients of the Butler County MRDD program will be at the Manchester Inn on Monday, March 17 beginning at 10:30 am to lend a hand in preparing table packets for the Women In Networking 5th Annual Conference to be held on Thursday, March 20.
According to Emily Harris, Chamber Event Manager, the volunteers from MRDD come to help them prepare for the luncheon each year and are a valuable part of the preparation for the event.
Sponsored by AK Steel Corporation, with special help from MidFirst Credit Union and other local businesses, the conference will be from 9 am to 2:30 pm on March 20 and includes a luncheon when the Athena ® award is presented to an exceptional local individual who has achieved excellence in his or her business or profession, has served the community and assisted women in reaching their full leadership potential.
Keynote speaker for the luncheon will be Marianne E. Frederick, RPT, MHSA, Director of the Ohio Department of Public Safety, whose topic will be “Humor: A Clue to Solving the Mystery of Stress.”
Speakers for the morning conference will be Patti Holmes, motivational speaker and organizational consultant, who will present “Building an Attitude of Excellence;” Colleen Mangeot, founder and owner of The Eberts-Mangeot Group and LaVie Dansante Coaching International, who will speak on “Elegant Influence: Powerful Persuasion Without the Push;” and Judy Ennis, Dean of Community & Corporate Outreach, Northwest State Community College, who will present “Communication Styles.”
Polished Image of Trenton will provide a “pampered weekend getaway” for one lucky person attending the event.
