After a long executive session at last nights City Council meeting, Anita Scott-Jones has been named new Vice Mayor of Middletown. Scott-Jones replaces the newly reelected Jim Armbruster who served as Vice Mayor for two years.
Scott-Jones serves as an at-large council member and is up for reelection in 2012. She has been a teacher at Brown Mackie College, in Cincinnati for over two years. She received a Bachelor of Science from Auburn University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix (Cincinnati/West Chester campus).
In a past interview with MiddletownUSA.com Scott-Jones said, “When I decided to run for council, I did so because I wanted to be accessible to the people and use my education to help answer the citizens’ questions even if they were difficult and uncomfortable; and if I didn’t have the answers, I would get them. I believe that I owe the people I represent what is right, fair and true.”
Congratulations Mrs. Scott-Jones
