ELECTION UPDATE

In a conference call this morning with the NLRB, Region 9, we were informed of the details of the upcoming election.

The election will be a manual election (walk-in balloting), not a mail ballot election.

The election will be held over two days, Wednesday, July 26 and Thursday, July 27, 2006. 

The polls will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, and from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27.

The election will be held at VFW Post 3809, 5049 Central Avenue, Middletown, OH.

If you were a bargaining unit member at the start of the lockout, and you have not retired or quit employment, you will be eligible to vote.

On the ballot, from left to right, you will have the following choices:

International Association of Machinists

and Aerospace Workers, AFL-CIO (IAM)

United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber,

Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial

and Service Workers International Union,

AFL-CIO-CLC  (United Steelworkers)

Armco Employees Independent

Federation, Inc. (AEIF)

None
